March Art Walk
Thanks to Stella I had a long few days of clearing snow and spreading salt. It’s still cold here in Huntingdon, but our parking lot is clear and ready for visitors!
Today is the third Thursday in March, and that means one thing here in downtown Huntingdon—Art Walk! People are invited to come downtown and walk (or catch a ride on the shuttle provided by Maiden’s Taxi Service). There are many locations that participate offering different activities, interesting food, live music, and so much more.
The Gage is hosting an Irish tea in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. I spent yesterday in the kitchen making fresh scones (spoiler alert—they’re delicious with a little jam and butter) and Irish soda bread, and I’ll have a big pot of Irish Breakfast Tea to help chase away the cold. The Gage will also have children’s crafts. Kids can make origami shamrocks or put together recycled snakes made from egg cartons to commemorate St. Patrick driving the snakes from Ireland.
I encourage my readers to step out into the cold tonight to experience the liveliness of Huntingdon. Art Walk is always a good time, and I look forward to having some tea with you if you do make it out!
